Research Project 1

Our primary research project, and the first in a series of many, is the founder’s PhD study, Maj Marušič, at Alef Trust, in collaboration with Liverpool John Moores University, titled: Wholing: The Embodied Integration of Meaning as Purpose in Illness and Disease and Its Potential for Healing and Transformation.

Within the framework of sacred illness—where illness or disease is understood as reflecting an inner purpose or struggle to be embodied and healed through its meaning and manifestation—the study uses the body-psychotherapeutic approach of Focusing with individuals experiencing chronic physical illness. It is based on the premise that integrating the implicit meaning held within the bodily felt sense or lived experience of disease may promote not only psychospiritual and emotional healing, but also physiological change.

As part of this project, we are developing an Embodied (Psycho-Spiritual) Illness Experience Coding or Language System—the first for embodied physical illness explorations. This framework allows us to mark and correspond experiential markers, as part of the psycho-emotional embodied processing, during live psychotherapeutic sessions, alongside potential physiological changes occurring at key process moments, and to observe whether these changes are reminiscent of healing, both within individual sessions and cumulatively across multiple sessions as integrative effects.

Exploring or answering the question of whether illness can, or could, be healed—or at least prompted to be—through direct conscious awareness or engagement with the illness experience itself.

This summary highlights key aspects; though the full methodology also includes components such as micro-phenomenology, cross-perspectival validation, and brief life-context logs, which together produce an integrated record of embodied therapeutic processes.

Upcoming, potential research projects;

Our second project, as of present, finds interest in exploring hands on energy healing and the energy healing modality of non-invasive psychic surgery, light-based inner-eye surgery, as apparent to the appearing vision, tuning in to the cancer as it appears in the surgeon’s inner eye, and the intuitive healing or dissecting of it (with geometric lines of light), inside-out cell-light regeneration or cleansing – specifically with cancer or tumour animals, for example dogs, from a cancer animal shelter, through the practice of the founder, Maj Marušič, as the practice intuitively appears or develops and comes to fruition through him naturally.

This research will be done or performed similar or akin to how William Bengston explored and developed his own practice through the research with mammalian mice.

If you find interest in joining this project as a research collaborator, offering a research environment or context, or supporting in any way, please feel free to contact us.

AND

Exploring the Bengston Method within an academic research context with first-time human participants, specifically with cystic manifestations, and examining its potential effectiveness for them.

and

The Havening technique, and/or EFT for physical illness.

Each of our newly added team members opens up a new avenue of exploration.

Feel free to reach out to join, participate in any way, collaborate, or help find and apply for funding for this next step.
